Megan Connolly
Founder
Megan is an expert in contemporary art with over 20 years of experience working between China and The United States.
Prior to establishing ChART Contemporary, she worked as the China Researcher for the Asia Art Archive, a consultant for Sotheby's in Hong Kong and New York, and a Sales Director for SOHO China’s Commune by the Great Wall.
An accomplished private curator and art advisor, Ms. Connolly has worked with institutions, corporations, and private collectors, including The Armory Show, LACMA, the MET, MoMA, the San Francisco Asian Art Museum, the Walker Art Center, the Aspen Art Museum, and Natalia Vodianova’s foundation, Naked Heart. ChART collaborated with Audemars Piguet at Art Basel shows worldwide providing curated experiences for their clients 2013 - 2020.
A native New Yorker, Ms. Connolly is fluent in Mandarin, holds a degree in East Asian Studies from Smith College with a concentration in Contemporary Art from China and received a certificate in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University.
Cassandre Connolly

Cassandre Connolly, a native New Yorker, moved to Jackson, Mississippi in 2015 with Teach for America. For the past three years she has been the art teacher at Siwell Middle School and was awarded Teacher of the Year 2016-2017. Ms. Connolly believes creativity builds confidence and she encourages her scholars to make an impact within their communities and beyond. Ms. Connolly has been awarded two Donors Choose grants and in 2016, she joined the Mississippi Museum of Art teaching art classes during the summers. Since moving to Jackson, Cassandre has been featured in the Jackson Free Press, WLBT, and was interviewed on Now You’re Talking by Marshall Ramsey for MPB.
Prior to moving to Austin, TX in 2018 Ms. Connolly was based in Beijing, China for a decade. During that time, she co-founded ChART Contemporary, a curatorial lab with the goal of bringing together art & people.
